Jen Derby is a Wealth Strategist at Baird, where she plays a crucial role in assisting Financial Advisors with tailored solutions for ultra-high net-worth clients and those facing complex planning needs, such as business owners and clients with significant private investments. Her approach emphasizes the importance of understanding each client's unique estate and legacy goals, alongside the tax and wealth transfer implications of their planning.

In addition to her wealth management responsibilities, Jen specializes in helping business owners with succession planning, guiding them through strategies that align with their business objectives and personal visions for long-term legacy planning.

Before joining Baird, Jen practiced law at Tucker Arensberg, P.C. in Pittsburgh, where she was a shareholder and Co-Chair of the estate and trust practice group. Over her 13-year legal career, she focused on estate, tax, and wealth transfer planning, as well as elder law and long-term care planning.

Jen is also an active speaker, frequently lecturing on estate and trust law topics for various professional and community organizations. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Jen is a member of the Pennsylvania bar.
